HBO's Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty is the fast-break new drama series that goes back in time to chronicle the professional and personal lives of the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers, one of sports' most revered and dominant dynasties. Directed by Adam McKay and lensed by DoP Todd Banhazl. The series follows the Lakers owner, Jerry Buss (John C. Reilly) as he goes from buying the NBA team to drafting Earvin “Magic” Johnson (Quincy Isiah) and creating one of the most dominant, flashy sports dynasties of all time.
Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty is set to debut on HBO Max in March 2022.
