THE DEAD ARE JEWELS TO ME

Congratulations to cinematographer Ian Forbes, THE DEAD ARE JEWELS TO ME is officially selected for the London Short Film Festival, and shortlisted for the UK Competition 'So it Goes' strand of the festival. Written and directed by Rose Hendry and Isla Badenoch. THE DEAD ARE JEWELS TO ME delves under the surfaces of a piece of jewellery, to look closely at what could be revealed of a person’s life and takes us into the mind of Dr Maria Maclennan FRSA, the world’s first forensic jeweller. Maria’s practice is both subtle and deeply emotive, beyond the singular objective of solving a crime. A practice that opens up questions.
