Joey Knox is an award-winning Australian Director of Photography now based in London working across commercials, music videos, and narrative film. Known for his refined visual language and emotionally grounded storytelling, Joey brings a cinematic sensibility to every project — balancing bold imagery with authentic human moments.
A core part of Joey’s approach is fostering a genuinely collaborative environment on set. He believes the strongest work emerges when every voice is heard, creating space for directors, creatives, and crew to contribute meaningfully to the process. This ethos has made him a trusted creative partner across both independent and large-scale productions.
Joey is the regular cinematographer for acclaimed Australian director Tony Rogers (Wilfred, Rats and Cats), and his work has received significant industry recognition. He was awarded Best Music Video at the 2021 ARIA Awards, and received a Silver ACS Award for his RMIT commercial — accolades that reflect both his technical precision and strong narrative instinct.
