Australian cinematographer Adric Watson is based in London and Australia and has worked extensively across the UK, Europe, Australia and India.
Working across feature films, commercials, music videos and documentary, Adric brings a beautifully observed and instinctive approach to his cinematography. His work combines a strong cinematic eye with a natural sensitivity to character, performance and place, creating images that feel both considered and authentic.
Adric’s growing body of feature work includes Florid, Philip Philadelphia, Our Share of Sand, Souvenir and The Arrival with all currently premiering and screening at international film festivals.
His cinematography has received numerous awards and international recognition. His narrative work includes ’ All These Creatures, winner of the Palme d’Or for Best Short Film at the Cannes Film Festival, while Adric’s cinematography on A Mouthful of Petrol received the Golden Frog at Camerimage. His work has also been recognised by the MTV Awards, CMA Awards, Melbourne International Film Festival and Flickerfest, where he was awarded Best Cinematography in an Australian Short.
Alongside his commercial and narrative work, Adric has a longstanding interest in documentary and observational filmmaking, including his own anthropological documentary projects. This experience continues to inform the honesty and intimacy he brings to his cinematography and his approach to capturing people and environments.
