Katelin Arizmendi always had an obsession with filmmaking, making short films on VHS with her brothers and neighborhood friends. She went on to study at UC Santa Cruz where the "anti-Hollywood, experimental" attitude of her first production teacher stuck with her. After her Bachelors, she graduated with an MFA in Cinematography from Academy of Art. It was there that she truly discovered the role of a cinematographer through shooting 16mm and quickly realizing there as nothing more she'd rather do. After spending two years in LA working as a DP on various commercials, music videos, and short films, she moved to New York and everything fell into place. Some of her clients include Levi's, Lincoln, Beats by Dre, Valvoline, Interpol, Halsey, and Petite Meller.
