When Ekkehart Pollack received the " Deutscher Kamerapreis Koln" ( German Photography Award Cologne) the selection committee stated that he was chosen because of his appreciation of supporting the ironic art of narrative. The consistent colour-dramaturgy presents an optical parallel. The dynamic way of shooting of ingenious arrangements of pictures and the movement of the camera impressively take advantage of the cinemascope format.
Ekkehart lives with his wife and two children in Berlin. He also works as a photographer and painter.
